See why the Belgians have to label their strong ales with a number.

St. Feuillien Brune

Dubbel Brasserie St. Feuillien, Le Roeulx, Belgium……7.5% ABV

Since 1873, the Friart family has been brewing various lines of beer, including this Brune.

Taste: $3.00 Glass: $6.50


Tripel Karmeliet

Tripel Brouwerij Bosteels, Buggenhout, Belgium……8.4% ABV

The recipe for this ale has been the same exact one since 1679.

Trappistes Rochefort 8

Belgian Strong Dark Ale Brasserie de Rochefort, Belgium……9.2% ABV

The number on the bottle represents the strength according to the Belgian Degree system. The Belgian degrees are associated with the density of the wort.

Kasteel

Tripel Brouwerij Van Honsebrouck,Ingelmunster Belgium ……11.0% ABV

A brewery built from the ruins of a castle and has cellars dating back to the Middle Ages.

Trappistes Rochefort 10

Quadrupel Brasserie de Rochefort, Belgium ……11.3% ABV

The Rochefort Brewery remains one of the more mysterious, inaccessible brewery/monasteries in the Trappist system. They are proud of their products, renouncing large scale economic thinking.
