1) Rogue Chipotle Ale

Amber Ale/Chili Beer…5.5% ABV; Rogue Ales; Newport, OR

Roasted chipotle peppers produce an eye opening chile flavor in this deep golden ale with a malty, smoky aroma and smooth, crisp flavor. The spirit of the Rogue brand, even the name, suggests doing things differently, a desire and a willingness to change the status quo.

2) AleSmith “YuleSmith” Holiday Ale

Double IPA…8.5% ABV; AleSmith Brewing Co.; San Diego, CA

During the summer, YuleSmith is transformed into a big, hoppy, Double IPA. The enormous load of hops requires a substantial malt background to create just the right balance for a Double IPA. Lighter in color, summer YuleSmith is available around the 4th of July.

3) Rogue Double Dead Guy Ale

American Strong Ale9.0% ABV; Rogue Ales; Newport, OR

An evolution of Dead Guy Ale. Deep amber copper color. Buttery, orange blossom tea aromas follow through to a rich chewy and fruity full body with nice notes of caramel drizzled dried apricot and roasted grains and spice. Finishes with a long, tangy grilled grapefruit and chocolate fade.

4) Dogfish Head Palo Santo Marron

American Brown Ale …12.0% ABV; Dogfish Head Craft Brewery; Milton, DE

Palo Santo means “holy tree” and it’s wood has been used in South American wine-making communities. An unfiltered, unfettered, unprecedented brown ale aged in handmade wooden brewing vessels. The caramel and vanilla complexity unique to this beer comes from the exotic Paraguayan Palo Santo wood from which these tanks were crafted.

5) The Bruery Coton 2010

Old Ale…14.5% ABV; The Bruery; Placentia, CA

This anniversary edition brew consists of 75% ale, 25% ale aged in bourbon barrels.  This is a huge mouthfeel and very robust on the palate with flavors of molasses and raisins.  There is a touch of vanilla oakiness on the backend.
