Ommegang Witte is our take on a Belgian-white, or Witbier. Adhering closely to traditional ingredients and flavor profiles, Witte proved its worth at the 2008 World Beer Cup by capturing Silver in its category amongst the best in the world.
2) Brewery Ommegang Hennepin
Cooperstown, New York…Belgian Saison…7.7% ABV
Based on traditional Belgian farmhouse architecture and set on a former hop farm in upstate NY.
3) Lagunitas “Bavarian Style Doppel Weizen”
Weizenbock…9.0% ABV….Lagunitas Brewing Company…Petaluma, CA
The latest and greatest from Lagunitas. A traditional strong wheat beer inspired by the true Bavarian styles. Using a Bavarian strain of yeast, these guys pumped up the flavor profile a bit!
4) Stone Vertical Epic 11.11.11
Stone Brewery, San Marcos, CA…Belgian Strong Pale Ale…9.4% ABV
Annual release and bottled only for 11.11.11. Each year a new one is released one day and one month different from the previous. This one has a spicy blend of Anaheim chilies and cinnamon.
5) Alaskan Brewing Smoked Porter 2011
Juneau, Alaska…American Porter…6.5% ABV
Smoked Beer. Known as “rauchbier” in Germany. The dark, robust body and pronounced smoky flavor of this limited edition beer make it an adventuresome taste experience. Prior to brewing, selected malts are smoked in small batches using alder wood.
