Collaboration with Elysian. This is a rich & tart pumpkin cranberry ale blended with wood-aged beer for a uniquely complex harvest season sour. The russet and orange of autumn shimmer through a slight haze like sunlight through the smoke from burning leaves. The taste and texture of pumpkin give way to the refreshing tang of cranberries.
2) Lips of Faith Series “Clutch”
American Stout…9.5% ABV….New Belgium Brewery…Fort Collins, CO
Clutch is a collaboration with the band from Maryland. This pleasing, two part potion was brewed with chocolate & black malts for a rich & roasty overtone, then fused with a dry, substratum of sour for a bold and audacious flavor. Black as night, this beer is blended at 80% stout, 20% dark sour wood beer.
3) Devotion Ale
Belgian Pale Ale…6.25% ABV…Lost Abbey Brewing…San Marcos, CA
Inspired by the countless hours of time and thought put into the life of the brewing monks and the pungent fields of hops surrounding the villages in Belgium, this Devotion Ale exhibits a complex personality. With a citrusy aroma and a pleasant bitterness, the ale almost has a light honey note.
4) Firestone “Walker’s Reserve Porter”
American Porter…5.9% ABV…Firestone Walker Brewery…Paso Robles, CA
An elegant dark ale featuring robust flavors of toffee, caramel and bittersweet chocolate. This brew employs five specialty malts, as well as oat and barley flakes, for added complexity and flavor.
